Terms and Conditions
I require payment in cash or cheque immediately following each session, or in advance if scheduling monthly, termly or half-termly.
Payment can also be made using the Square payment processing service (similar to PayPal) using a debit or credit card. If paying via this method, you will receive an electronic invoice via email after each tutorial, and I require payment within 48 hours.
I require 24 hours notice for cancellations. If a cancellation is made on the day of tuition I will try to rearrange an alternative date (However, this may not be possible if I am fully booked). If an alternative date cannot be found, I will charge my full hourly rate (cancellations due to a death in the family will not be charged).
If nobody is home for a prearranged tutorial that has not been cancelled, I will charge my full hourly rate.
If I cancel for any reason I will try and rearrange. If this is not possible (for the student or myself), tuition will recommence at the next session. If lessons have been paid for in advance, I will refund the money in full, either in person at the next session or via online banking if preferred.
If termination of regular tuition sessions is requested for whatever reason, I require an e-mail or phone message. However, if termination is requested within 24 hours of a session, as per the cancellation policy, I will charge the full fee for the missed session.
I reserve the right to terminate regular tuition for whatever reason, but will ensure to refund in full money owed if tuition has been paid for in advance, either in person or via online banking.
I will not complete students' homework, but can provide guidance and run through similar questions instead.
If I provide any materials, these are for the student's personal use, and may be subject to copyright laws.
I will do everything I can to help students prepare for their maths examinations, but I cannot be held responsible for their academic/examination results.
All communication via e-mail or phone in-between tutorials must be between the parent/guardian and myself, unless the student is aged 18 years or over. However, students are welcome to email me themselves provided a parent/guardian is copied into all emails.
All personal data will be kept confidential.
